Spain Wins 2010 World Cup Over Netherlands, 1-0
A goal by Andrés Iniesta lifted Spain to a victory in the 2010 World Cup final over the Netherlands, 1-0. The goal was scored in extra time after neither team could score in regulation.
Spain became the first team to win the world championship after losing the opening game of the tournament.
